Why is it okay?
Why do we do it?
Why can’t we stop?
Why is it normalized?
Why is it considered humane?
“It’s different.”
No. It’s not.
People use the excuse of other animals being physically and psychologically different from humans, saying it’s not discrimination because of species. This isn’t true. Just because an ideology has been repeated for centuries doesn’t make it true. It has been nailed into everyone’s brains since childhood that animals are less than humans. Yes, they’re different species, but doesn’t make the moralities different. Doesn’t make the experience different.
Ask yourself- do you know what the actual phycological or physical difference is between human and animals that condones the current treatment towards them?
This series of posts addresses each animal that is treated the most poorly in the world today, and proves that humans and other animals that people discriminate against are actually more similar than you think.
It shouldn’t have to be proven logically that it’s inhumane to kill animals- it should be basic knowledge. Murder is wrong. But then again, people say…”It’s different“
