Bugs And Bites (Rats)

Some people have problems with rats in their house or property, just like any rodents. And its understood that rats can cause sickness, but there are other ways to solve the problem other than killing them, and I’m someone who would not like to have a box in my house that says “mouse killer”, so here are a few ways I would recommend to help with solving this problem. (Without hurting them,)

.First, before you try any of these things, clean all food from all the floor and surfaces of your house, so that they wont even want to come in

. Get a rat friendly trap in a store, or on your favorite online website! Fast killing rat traps might seem to be OK for a non-painful death, however they acualy snap the rats neck which causes one of the most painful deaths, when you can just buy a trap to release the rodent outside. (Make sure to check the trap multiple times a day)

. Instead of using a harming tool to keep them from entering, or (if you were using my first tip,) re-entering, you could use a harm free repel spray!

.Try using my other tips instead of using poison! Because this is causing them to have a slow and painful death.

You don’t have to change on how you treat them, but please at least be aware that what you do does impact your environment.

Please treat rodents better!!

Good advice! Not to mention that when people use rat poison it can harm other animals. Birds of prey or anything that eats rats will then be poisoned and die too.

These are all GREAT ideas for gently guiding mice, rats, and other little ones away from your spaces. And about bugs, ha ha! I’ve gotten very good at taking a mason jar, scooting a piece of paper under it after I’ve caught a bug (usually a spider, bee, or wasp), and walking them out the door to crawl or fly free. I’m so good at it, in fact, that my boys (15 and 19) always call mom when they need a hand with a bug 🙂 Hopefully I’m modeling the behavior in a way that one day, they will do it themselves! Love the blog and thanks for the info – I’ve never heard of a repelling spray that’s safe for animals! ❤

I believe rats are quite nice, sociable animals among other rats. I would much prefer not to kill them, so thanks for the tips.
